Evidence Board Preparation for Photo-shoot

As we decided to use the evidence board for our Film Poster we thought that we should amend some of the layout to seem more professional as well as illuminating a significant part of the plot of One by One.

We have changed the cardboard background to a new fresh board and adding more articles to fill blank spaces. Though we are aware that the differences can be seen from film to poster the vigilante killer will be covering the central section of the board making the amends not that significant. The amends have just been done in order to improve the quality of the picture in the Film Poster which must be perfect as seen in professional Film Posters.

Other details included are the links and numbers between articles which represent a more convincing outlook of the prop which can be seen in crime television programmes such as Criminal Minds. We also wanted to prevail a D.I.Y. sense to the board as it is "made" by the vigilante killer.

Contact Sheet

This is a contact sheet we have produced after having done the photo-shoot in the studio. This will give us some idea of the options we have for our Film Review which we will be asking in our questionnaire.

Creation of Center Point Article

Center Point Article

When shooting the ending scene of our film we will be presenting our actor with a a background of articles that reveal more content of the plot, as the victim is hypothetically the "suspect" of the story below. The main article that sums up our concept is the following:

"POLICE SUSPECT CROSS COUNTRY STAR TO BE IN CONNECTION TO MURDER OF MOTHER OF TWO."

"Police are still looking to speak to cross country star Michael Lewis in connect to the death of wife and mother of 2 Katharine Dalton. Mrs Dalton was found dead in the country home back in early July after what neighbours call a ‘heated argument’ with Mr Lewis who had been a friend of the family for sometime. Katharine’s Husband, who wanted remain anonymous stated “He isn’t fully aware as to what he has done to both Katharine’s and I’s children and to me. Especially from someone we would call a friend. I just hope he knows he will pay for what his has done! I encourage him to turn himself in before it’s to Late!” Mr Lewis has since gone into hiding and remains untraceable to police who desperately want to speak to him regarding the event that took place in July on the night two young children lost their mother. For any information as to Michael Lewis’s whereabouts please call crime stoppers on 0800 555 111."

This is the written piece that will be used in the main article that is used as a prop in our short film. The headline has been chosen to make sense of the forrest as a location within our short film. This article sets up the background information as to why the vigilante killer in our short film is doing what he does.

Photography Call Sheet

The Photo-shoot described on the document will take place in the college's photography study and will feature two of the main three images within our film poster and may also be including some in the film review depending on the audience feedback. The main two images for the poster will be the evidence board as a background picture and a close-up of the vigilante killer.

Film Review: House Styles

House Style for the Film Review

This is one of our ideas for the layout of our film review. In terms of this print product, the layout of the text and other features is purely dependant of the image we choose therefore we are yet not certain how our film review will look like.

One by One Short Film: Audience Feedback

There were three main points that were pointed out:

1) Sound: the ambience sounds must be more levelled out and balanced throughout to make the film consistent, However, at the time this was still a work in progress.

2) Remove the shot-reverse-shot: this scene prevents the film to preserve a scary feel and makes the chase anti-climactic. We have then decided in our group to remove this.

3) Remove the scream at the end of the video: the audience felt that it was comedic and diverge from our actual theme and concept of our product.

One by One: Final Product

Here is our finished short film.
